"Blunder and Surrender" Joshua 9:1-27

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:

  1. Do you think you have “enemies” in your life? In what sense? What things (or even people) get in the way of growing spiritually, and pursuing the Kingdom service?

  2. What can you relate with Israel’s blunder of being deceived by the Gibeonites? Can
you recall a time when you’ve been fooled into making a bad decision? How could
you have prevented it? How did you overcome it?

  3. Between the things of “this world” and the “world to come”, how can we recognise
which is of greater value, and make life-investment decisions accordingly?

  4. What is the most helpful/challenging/encouraging part of the sermon for you?
