1. By having a brief look at the genealogy from Adam to Jesus,  what can we say about God’s orchestration of the events surrounding the lives of these characters?

2. How did you first react to [Romans 9] passage—especially [vv.13 & 15]?  And how do you reconcile these words of God in your Christian faith?

3. Do the words “duty and thriving” seem complimentary?  How does the sermon help to reconcile their relationship in your understanding?

4. What was the most helpful/challenging/encouraging part of the sermon for you?
